Texas Youth Ballet Conservatory, LLC is an arts conservatory dedicated to providing high-quality, classical ballet training to students in McKinney and the surrounding areas.

History

The school began as one of the early members of the arts outreach program at the McKinney Performing Arts Center in historic downtown Mckinney. TYBC grew quickly as word spread about the warm, family atmosphere, the rapid improvement of the children’s skills, the individual attention the students receive, and the age-appropriate content of the performances.

TYBC has received recognition from companies like Ballet Magnificat! and professionally- affiliated training schools across the nation.

TYBC’s Artistic Director, Jennifer Dulin, founded the school to provide an avenue for local students to reach for their dreams of dancing professionally, while still maintaining a nurturing environment and affordable programs.

Some of our students drive great distances to experience the TYBC difference. It is not uncommon to see young professionals taking class with our students when they are in town.

Our school is a sister school with City Ballet of Wilmington in North Carolina.

Accomplishments

Texas Youth Ballet Conservatory has been asked to enter into a collaborative agreement by Joffrey Ballet School in New York City. The collaboration is designed to help educate and foster TYBC’s talented students through scholarship and a teacher exchange program.

Students from TYBC and members of the Youth Ballet of Texas recently opened for Ballet Magnificat! for their Dalllas appearance at the Eisemann Theater in Richardson.

TYBC’s homeschool program is one of the largest homeschool dance programs in the State, with approximately 3/4 of our enrolled students coming from homeschooling families.

Mission Statement

At TYBC, we are committed to maintaining an upbeat, encouraging atmosphere where every child feels like an important part of the school. All of our students, potentially professional or not, have a chance to experience all aspects of ballet training and performance. We feel children should have the opportunity and training to develop their dance skills to the best of their ability, to perform voluntarily in an enthusiastic, stress-free atmosphere, and to be given the opportunity of learning both ballets from the great classical repertoire, and original ballets. Our goal is to give every student an appreciation of the beautiful art of classical ballet, along with a lifetime of coordination, muscular strength, perseverance and confidence.

Texas Youth Ballet Conservatory, LLC is home to the Youth Ballet of Texas, a Texas non-profit training company for young dancers.
