Youth Ballet of Texas
The Youth Ballet of Texas is a Texas non-profit performance company created in August of 2012. Under the Artistic Direction of Jennifer Dulin, it’s goal is to bring quality ballet performances to McKinney and the North Texas Region. It is made up entirely of students from the Texas Youth Ballet Conservatory. Entrance into the company is by invitation only, and students who wish to join must agree to the high standards of commitment and professionalism required of a pre-professional organization.
Younger TYBC students are sometimes allowed to participate in small roles within company performances, giving them an opportunity to learn from the example of the company members.
The Company is split into the following levels:
Students 12 and up who can demonstrate a level of proficiency in ballet and on pointe(for girls). Company students are required to attend Company class and Pas de Deux class.
Students 11 - 15 who are in their first year of pointe study and are approaching the company skill levels.
Students 8 - 12 who desire to put in the time and commitment to become company members some day.
